WHY?
So why did we want to create these workshops?
We wanted people to be more interactive with nature, instead of just passing by. People will design and engineer their microscopes themselves out of easily accessible materials. Science should feel fun and accessible, and people should appreciate the nature around them and explore community parks like McClellan Ranch. By participating in a single pop-up workshop, you can find that you do not have to be in a fancy laboratory to explore the microscopic world around you, but can explore it in a fun, easy way.
